Thermo Scientific™ Quantech Digital Filter Fluorometer Narrow Band Filters allow you to choose the best excitation and emission wavelength ranges for your fluorescence experiment.

Thermo Scientific™ Quantech Digital Filter Fluorometer Narrow Band Filters allow you to choose the best excitation and emission wavelength ranges for your fluorescence experiment. Narrow band filters allow a narrow range of light to pass through the filter -- delivering the selectivity you need for accurate fluorescence assays.

Narrow band filters can be used to excite fluorescence or to measure a very small window of fluorescence emission. To select the proper filter for your assay, use the following guidelines:
  • There should be no overlap between the Narrow Band excitation filter and the Sharp Cut emission filter
  • A portion of the fluorescence excitation (absorption) spectrum near the peak falls in the wavelength range transmitted by the Narrow Band excitation filter
For the most sensitive measurement of fluorescence, an emission filter that does not overlap with this excitation filter must be selected.
