The RapidFinder™ Beef ID Kit enables the simple and reliable detection of beef in food and feed samples.

  • Enables the simple and reliable detection of beef in food and feed samples
  • Method works by detection of bovine, or Bos taurus, DNA by real-time PCR
  • Unlike ELISA-based methods, when used with the GMO Extraction Kit (4466336) for sample preparation, the RapidFinder™ Beef ID Kit detects both raw and processed beef and provides sensitivity down to 0.01% bovine DNA
  • The included positive control, which comprises 0.1% bovine DNA, can be used as a reference to set the threshold of detection of the assay
  • Simple-real-time PCR based assay, no electrophoresis needed
  • The assay is compatible with Applied Biosystems™ StepOne™, StepOnePlus™, 7500, 7500 Fast, and 7300 real-time PCR systems
