OPTIZYME™ T4 PNK catalyzes the transfer of γ-phosphate from ATP to the 5'-OH group of DNA, RNA, oligonucleotides and nucleoside 3'-monophosphates.
Applications and Features:
- OPTIZYME™ T4 PNK labels 5'-termini of nucleic acids (for use as: probes for hybridization or transcript mapping, primers for PCR or DNA sequencing, and markers for gel-electrophoresis)
- 5'-phosphorylation of oligonucleotides, PCR products, and other DNA or RNA prior to ligation
- Phosphorylation of PCR primers
- Removal of 3'-phosphate groups
- Active in buffers for OPTIZYME restriction enzymes, T4 DNA Ligase and Reverse Transcriptases
