Macherey-Nagel™ NucleoSpin™ 8 Tissue, 8-well kit for DNA from cells and tissue

NucleoSpin™ 8 Tissue is designed for the rapid simultaneous preparation of highly pure genomic DNA from animal and human tissue, e.g., mouse and rat tails. From a 1.2cm mouse tail tip section (age of mice 4 to 6 weeks) up to 30μg to 40μg of pure genomic DNA can be prepared (typical yields 15μg to 25μg). The obtained DNA can be used directly for PCR*, Southern blotting or any kind of enzymatic reaction. Parallel lysis of large sample numbers can be performed in standard tubes or in 96 well blocks alternatively. NucleoSpin™ Tissue binding strips can be used under vacuum or centrifugation in a centrifuge with deep buckets allowing processing of NucleoSpin™ 8 well strips stacked on 96 well blocks. The method is based on a specially treated silica membrane with a high binding capacity for nucleic acids. The obtained DNA can be used directly for PCR*, solution blotting, or any kind of enzymatic reaction.
