n-Decane >99%, Clear, Colorless Liquid

  • Decane has been used as a solvent in the preparation of high alkane phase emulsified suspensions (HAPES).
  • It may also be used as a solvent to suspend the CdSe/ZnS nanocrystals during absorbance measurement.
  • Internal standard in the GC analysis of oxalic, malonic, and succinic acids in biological materials.
  • Decane (n-Decane), an aliphatic hydrocarbon, is a reference fuel. Its oxidation over a range of temperature has been studied.
  • Its crystal structure has been investigated at 150K.
  • The cracking of decane can be performed using electrohydrodynamic atomization system (EHDA).
