Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (67%), Rat (67%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-57065 (PA5-57065. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Zinc-finger CCCH domain-containing protein 8 (ZC3H8) acts as a transcriptional repressor of the GATA3 promoter. It is a sequence-specific DNA-binding factor that binds to the 5'-AGGTCTC-3' sequence within the negative cis-acting element intronic regulatory region (IRR) of the GATA3 gene. ZC3H8 induces thymocyte apoptosis when overexpressed, which may indicate a role in regulation of thymocyte homeostasis.
