Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (87%), Rat (87%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-53393 (PA5-53393. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

MYLK4 serine/threonine kinase or myosin light chain kinase family member 4 is a member of the CAMK kinase family. It is one of four myosin light chain kinases noted in a comprehensive analysis of protein kinases encoded by the human genome. MLCKs are activated by Ca2+-calmodulin complexes and require Mg2+ or Ca2+ as a co-factor. It has 2 isoforms produced by alternative splicing.
