- Recognizes human ENPP-2/Autotaxin
- ENPP2 (Autotaxin, Extracellular lysophospholipase D) is a 863 amino acid secreted protein, detected in blood plasma
- Expressed in carcinomas (hepatocellular and prostate carcinoma, neuroblastoma, non-small-cell lung cancer)
- Expressed in body fluids like plasma, cerebral spinal fluid, saliva, follicular and amniotic fluids
- Biliary atresia patients had greater serum autotaxin and liver stiffness
Process:
- Antibody specific for ENPP-2/Autotaxin pre-coated onto microwells
- ENPP-2/Autotaxin protein in samples captured by the coated antibody after incubation
- After extensive washing, another antibody of biotinylated specific for human ENPP-2/Autotaxin is added to detect captured human ENPP-2/Autotaxin protein
- For signal development, Streptavidin-HRP is added, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent
- Solution containing sulfuric acid used to stop color development and color intensity
- Proportional to quantity of bound protein, measurable at 450 nm with correction wavelength set at 630 nm
