Chlorogenic Acid is a phenolic product isolated from coffee beans with antimicrobial properties.

Chlorogenic acid is an important factor in plant metabolism.

  • Acts as an antioxidant and an inhibitor of the tumor-promoting activity of phorbol esters
  • At concentrations as high as 100μm, chlorogenic acid does not inhibit the 5-lipoxygenase activity of ionophore-stimulating human polymorphonuclear leukocytes
