Precipitation solution offers major advantages over other RNA precipitation methods in that it does not precipitate DNA, protein, or carbohydrates.

Precipitation solution offers major advantages over other RNA precipitation methods in that it does not precipitate DNA, protein, or carbohydrates. It is supplied in one bottle of 100 mL at a concentration of 7.5M. It is the method of choice for removing inhibitors of translation or cDNA synthesis from RNA preparations.

Note: LiCl precipitation may not remove all DNA contamination from total RNA isolations. If the RNA is to be used for RT-PCR, it should be DNase I treated. The solution is rigorously tested for contaminating nonspecific endonuclease, exonuclease, and RNase activity.
