Further, it is employed in the preparation of para-bromobiphenyl through Gomberg-Bachmann reaction. In addition to this, it is used as a building block in the preparation or pharmaceutical and organic compounds.

Notes
Store in a cool place. Light sensitive and air sensitive. Keep the container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Incompatible with acids, acid chlorides, acid anhydrides, chloroformates and strong oxidizing agents.
