The GM 200 is suitable for the grinding and homogenization of food, animal feed, pharmaceutical products, chemicals, as well as other soft to medium-hard, fibrous, or tough samples. Typical materials include meat, fruit, vegetables, confectionery, grains, tablets, and similar products.

Depending on the material properties and the desired final fineness, the GM 200 can process sample volumes of up to 700 mL. For optimal grinding results, a filling volume between 200 mL and 700 mL is usually recommended.

Yes, the GM 200 can process frozen samples, or deep-frozen samples with the optional CryoKit and suitable containers, however it should not be used with liquid-nitrogen cooled samples (or direct LN₂ immersion).
