Description

Description

Description: The polyclonal antibody reacts with HA tag. One of the more established epitope tags is the HA tag, which is a nine amino acid peptide sequence (YPYDVPDYA) present in the human influenza virus hemagglutinin protein. The HA tag has been successfully used in a variety of applications, including Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunfluorescence studies. Applications Reported: Purified Anti-HA tag poly has been reported for use in immunoprecipitation, and immunoblotting (WB). Applications Tested: Purified Anti-HA tag poly has been tested by immunoblotting (WB). (1:200 starting dilution). It is recommended that this antibody be titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE. Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered.

HA Tag (hemagglutinin tag) is an epitope tag that provides a method to localize gene products in a variety of cell types, study the topology of proteins and protein complexes, identify associated proteins, and characterize newly identified, low abundance or poorly immunogenic proteins when protein specific antibodies are not available. HA (hemagglutinin) is a surface glycoprotein derived from influenza hemagglutinin, and is commonly expressed as a tag in conjunction with proteins to aid in identification and purification of the tagged protein for functional analysis. HA tag antibodies can be used to facilitate protein detection or co-immunopreciptation of tagged proteins.
